Kelowna is in that mucky, dirty stage when there is not much snow left in the city and what remains is all dingy and rather sad looking. Later today I will walk on over to the provincial park and try and take a couple of pictures. I love it in there.

Survived the first family game of dominoes. There were a couple of temper tantrums but nothing was thrown and the dominoes did not have to be confiscated so it's all good.

My sister and I have to share a room but I'm sleeping in the closet. That's right the closet. My parents no doubt would be horrified that I'm posting that little bit of information but sleeping in the closet is my choice. My sister and I simply cannot share a bed. Then there would be severe injuries. She kicks, steals the blankets and I of course am completely innocent!!
Being with my parents means an endless parade of amazing food. Last night it was barbequed salmon. Yum! In a little bit friends are coming over for breakfast and my father's famous frenchtoast.

Gotta run.

BBQd salmon!! So jealous. Glad to hear you're having a great time and surviving family board games :)

LOL to you sleeping in the closet, sorry, it must not be that comfortable...but it made me smile. Enjoy the food!

Surroundings sound like here. Dirty looking, hardly any snow.

Closet = funny.

Our family board game of animosity was RISK. My brother got so mad he would upend the game, armies flying all over, efectively ending it. Ha. What a poor sport. And, this wasn't just once.

Save me some salmon. Take care.

so when do you come out of the closet?

the provincial park you're tlaking about, is that the one thats fairly high on the hill, sort of north in town?

Wow, you guys are fast.

Allison, the salmon was delicious. Wish I could email you some!

Busterp, here's hoping you guys get some more snow before the 25th to make things look all pretty. That's funny about RISK. What is it about board games? Effectively can be rather irksome!

Kelly, salmon and halibut! So, when's the barbeque? I'll bring wine. When do I come out of the closet?! Very funny. By the way that is the park.

Merry Christmas Mellowlee! xoxo right back at you. I will definitly try and take some pictures of the park while I'm here.

Slaygirl, I like to cook but just don't expect everything to hit the table at the same time. I can't seem to get the whole timing thing down! Both my parents are awesome cooks so I think we know what I'll be having to do when I get home! Yuk, the diet word looms!

There's something about being back under your parents' roof that turns us back into kids, scrapping with our sisters, isn't there?

You guys have a very fancy dominoes set!

Barbara, I don't know what it is about kids, games and being in their parent's home but there ineveitably seems to be a turning back of clocks and we all act a like silly preteens!

Kelly, the snow started last night and right now everything looks beautiful. I'm going to head on over to the park and take some pictures. Oh, your salmon with blackberry sounds fantastic.

Allison, we have bween having a very nice visit so far. Now the snow is falling erasing all the dinginess which is an added bonus. Chicken foot? That's a much more creative name than just plain dominioes!
