My Life Needs a Rewind Button
Normally I like Wednesdays. I start off with my art class which is pretty much the highlight of my week. Not yesterday. I hated the day's project. Don't know why exactly but I could not get into it so as a result my finished piece is food for the recycling bin. I think I will call it Recycled Flowers. It can be an inside joke known only by me and now you too.
Recycled Flowers
Ok, so art class was not its usual great time, I still had the rest of the day. While working on a the computer with a student Shaw Secure suddenly popped up saying it was updating. Then all hell broke loose. My student's work suddenly disappeared from her memory stick and my computer suffered some sort of seizure. Bad enough that sometimes my computer likes to eat my work but it never ever should eat my student's work. That's not good.

Tried rebooting, nothing. After work I again tried it and still the computer was completely gripped by some weird seizure like disease. Out of desperation I called Shaw Cable after all it was their pop-up that seemed to start the whole bloody mess. The kid on the line was extremely helpful. "Huh, that's weird. Gee, I don't know what you should do. Did you try rebooting it? Oh, that didn't work um well why don't you go to our help page on the Internet." Kid are you listening to me? If I could get to your help page that would mean my computer was working and I wouldn't be talking to you right now! "I think your computer's busted. I'd take it into a shop."

Finally I got smart and called in the experts as in two high school students that I teach. In no time flat they had the whole thing up and running again and all it cost me was a batch of chocolate chip cookies!

My parents arrive today for the weekend so that means blogging for the next few days is probably out. Take care all and I hope you have a fabulous Friday and weekend.

Please tell me that the piece you have pictured is not Recycled Flowers! Because I think it's pretty damn good!

Thank the lucky stars for high school students. Those kids are going to run the world someday.

Have a wonderful time with your parents. I hear your mom makes an awesome pie.

Is that YOUR work tc? If it is, it's amazing...truly.

(and if you're wondering why I didn't tag you...I thought about how much you're working and knew that this tag involved ALOT - the links took me nearly an hour last night. So it wasn't because you're not special, it's because you are!!)
