Laundry Day
Started the first load of laundry and then returned to the basement to drop off my second load to find a massive soapy geyser springing from a broken hose. Had to wade through the spewing water to get to turn off the tap. Didn't exactly stop it for the wash cycle but at least it wouldn't go again during the rinse. So now I have a tubful of soapy sopping wet tops. Unfortunately, unlike Gucci the dog I do not own 52 outfits so I'm wondering what the heck I can throw together that is both clean and matching and is not evening wear. Too bad this happened a day shy of Halloween.
So after that wee bit of stress there is only one thing to do...break out the Halloween candy. Hmm, now what do I want licorice or chocolate? Maybe I had better try them both just to make sure they're OK.
I really ought to go finish my art assignment for tomorrow but that too is frustrating me at the moment. Sent somebody a copy of last week's assignment and have been met by nothing but silence, not even the deadly response of, "That's interesting!" So now I'm paranoid that it looked like crap.
Well, I think maybe I had better go have another chocolate fix then maybe my red top and green pants will start looking as though they are a matching outfit.

The only thing that would be better than red top and green pants is green top and red pants.
You have done very well holding off until the 30th on the Hallowe'en candy; I have been steadily tucking into them since Saturday. And my clothes aren't even floating around in 50 gallons of water!
Here's hoping the Maytag guy gets to your place soon!
Yikes! That does not sound good for business at all.
What's this choosing between? Both chocolate and licorice.
Hopefully you're able to put away your frustration for your art project and get re-inspired!
I've been eating my Halloween candies (kindly bought by my mom) since the second week of October... how have you been able to wait for so long?
Hope that things will be fixed very soon and that you'll get your inspiration back
Barbara, I should have held off the candy until after work. I felt wired all through teaching!
Allison, sadly in the end I did not choose but by then I did not want real food and now for some reason I don't feel so good! Go figure.
Evelyne, hey it's good to see you again. I wish I was spending Halloween in Montreal. Does Montreal do anything special for it? Have fun.
ah, tc....as someone who's had endless spewing hoses and leaks, I feel your pain. Duct tape - I've put more things together with that stuff. I think if you tape up the hose (real good - use tons), you might be able to rinse/spin the tops.
I resort to chocolate for every emergency. It's Hallowe'en on a weekly basis in this house! And I'm lucky, I steal my kids clothes when I have a crisis like that!
Good luck.
Hey Deb, I just missed you by 10 minutes. Luckily I have an awesome landlord and he came as soon as I called him. I remember my brother duct taped their old car together. It looked like a freakshow on the road but it worked.
Surely duct tape could help and you are artistic ... ;)
i didn't break into my candy until about an hour ago!
happy halloween!
Leazwell, thanks. It's been kind of a frustrating week artistically but I'll get through it.
668, well you have some serious catching up to do is all I can say!
i have eaten way too much candy!
668, I hear ya. No doubt stomach aches are plentiful today!
For me it would be a stiff drink taking the edge off my color coordinating taboos. Ha.
I laughed (with you, not at) because it's happened to me before. Usually when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to clean up.
