Who Knew?
I always make my cards and I always give my parents cards but for some reason I don't usually make them a card at Christmas. I think I have just always attached a gift tag to their present and never really thought about it. This year my mom has sent me many an email saying she wants a card to display on her coffee table. So she's getting a collection of cards. One for each day they'll be here.
I found a pattern for a meandering card and thought, hey that would be kind of cool. So I cut the square of paper 16 by 16 inches. Did all the lettering and art work and then I cut along the lines and folded the paper as shown in the diagram. Attached a cover and a ribbon and it looks so nice and sweet just 4 by 4 inches.

Opened it up and holy cow the darn thing takes up an entire table! I had no bloody idea. The directions should have come with a warning.

Of course now I'm thinking I want to find the largest piece of paper possible to see what happens. So who wants a card that will snake halfway around their room?

Well, I'm off for a walk along the ocean and just maybe I will wind my way around to Island Blue Print and find me a monster sized sheet of paper!

Have a great day everyone.

It is deceptive when it is closed up, isn't it? Holy moly! It is quite lovely though, such an unusual dedign, and I think your mom will be well pleased.

668 I'm hoping to make the Guiness Book of World Records! I don't know if there is a record for biggest card but I'm going to try.

That's totally cool, you should get a whole roll of construction paper and give the whole town a Christmas card.

Junky, I'll present your proposal to city hall! We could make it a tourist attraction and try to lure you Americans back up here.
