Wrong Side of the Bed
Don't know why, no reason but the wrong side of the bed is definitely where I woke up this morning. More lethargic and kind of cranky rather than a full out foul mood.
Spent the morning making cards while listening to Bonnie Prince Billy. Hey, if you're gonna be in a grump of a slump you might as well invite Prince Billy along.
When I started cleaning up my apartment I got sidetracked and sat down at the piano. Let's just say it has not been getting much of a work out lately. OK, there are days when I think I might as well admit I have pretty much quit. So I'm playing along stumbling my way through Grieg when suddenly, MEOW! What the hell? Did my cat just boo me? I think my cat just booed me! Somebody is not getting chicken anytime soon.
Decided maybe the best thing was to head to the library and return my books and pick up a couple of new ones now that I have some extra time to read Get there only to find it closed. Figures. Forgot that they're closing noon hours in their present tiff with the union.
Oh well the walk did me good and my mood is on the upswing. Here are a couple of pictures I took on Sunday during one of our windy days. We don't get wind like the prairies but all the same wind remains my number one favorite thing of mother nature. I know it can be destructive but how can one not feel anything but joy when the wind is whipping up the waves?

ha ha.. sammy jo booing you... too funny.
wicked storm pics.
668, that cat is far too snotty for his own good!
agitated
I am not surprised in the slightest that that cat was booing you. Nope. Cats I tell ya. ;)
Lovely pictures, I especially like the first one.
My mood yesterday was in direct relation to my fever. Today, things are looking up, but still have a nasty cough. Things could be worse though. I could have a small creature who boo's as I walk. ;P
Cats are so judgemental. And Sammy Jo certainly has that unimpressed look down pat.
I am feeling writer's blockerly today, which is disconcerting to me, as the urge to write was something I always took for granted. Sort of like your piano? Hopefully with enough shortbread this shall pass.
Though I don't care for wind, I do love it when it whips up the waves like that. Lovely photos.
I liked your pictures. I love water but since I can't swim very well, it also makes me uneasy; I get that feeling even gazing out over Lake Michigan.
Sammy jo: I agree, too funny.
Kelly, well I certainly hope you are no longer agitated. I just finished my last full day of teaching until January so I am most definitely in a good mood now.
Allison, your comment kills me because the first part makes it sound as though you agree with the furball! I'll put it up to your feverish head. LOL
Barbara, I certainly hope you are no longer feeling blocked. I understand that feeling all too well to say anything flippant.
Hey, Busterp good to see you again. Did you see your bear? If not scroll down two posts.
