So How Did You Celebrate the Lunar Eclipse?
One couple in Kelowna decided to celebrate nature's spectacle by driving in the buff to a secluded spot on the lake for a skinny dip. Unfortunately, after their skinny dip they were backing out their SUV and somehow or other managed to flip their vehicle onto its roof. The police arrived on the crash scene to find the two buck naked, dripping wet, slightly injured and shivering in the -8C degree weather without so much as a blanket to wrap themselves in. What were they thinking? Everybody knows you need a nice big fluffy towel to wrap yourself in after a moonlight skinny dip!
Victoria is not without their own geniuses. One 40 year old man tried robbing the laundry room of a condo complex only to find he had managed to lock himself into said laundry room. In his desperation he pounded on the door while screaming for help. Help did come, in the form of the men in blue. Since he was 40 and not protected by the young offenders act he got to see his name printed in bold in the local newspaper.
Signs of Spring are Everywhere!
So, if you plan on creating any mayhem this weekend, plan ahead!

Ewwwww, they got into their vehicle wet? Not to mention naked and stupid. Nobody gets into my vehicle wet. I will allow stupid, as long as they are not driving, but they must be clothed and dry.

We have flowers here too! I picked up some tulips from Safeway.

Gifted typist, I do indeed. Like most here I served my time first on the prairies.

Barbara, I could see where a skinny dip under a lunar eclipse would seem outrageously romantic, although I prefer moonlight swims on hot summer nights, but to have nothing to put on afterwards? Yuk.

I twittered the event and partied like a rockstar.

I saw spring flowers here yesterday! So weird to see things in bloom already.

Oh wow, the world is just full of brilliant people isn't it? hahaha! Loverly flower photo! I was noticing the crocuses popping the pretty little heads out of the soil just yesterday on my walk home!

PS I didn't get to see the Lunar Eclipse cause it was majorly cloudy here :O(

Too funny...what geniuses. There used to be a program on TV that showed brilliant crimes in action...I loved it.

I took similar flower pics yesterday. ;)

Flowers? Lucky you. Here I see snow, and snow have I mentioned snow? and slush and icy sidewalks... but well, we'll have flowers soon, and the weird weather kept me inside which helps to study.

Justacoolcat no doubt they regreted their little foray into partying like a rockstar.

Allison, I think your weather is pretty much like ours. Do you find the dampness cold?

Mellowlee, too bad about the lunar eclipse. How was the concert last night?

Deb, I think Vancouver has more than fair share of "geniuses". I don't know that show but it sounds like it would have been great fun.

Oh Evelyne, the weather news has been full of the snow your way. I hope for a speedy spring for you although maybe not too fast otherwise you might end up with flooding on top of everything else!

Yesterday,
I ripped my favorite jean while doing a cartwheel on the frozen pike lake. Not ripped but shreded. These jeans were purple and perfect.

Then as I was returning to my cabin and the waters edge my foot fell into the lake.

Those 30 minutes broke my heart.
I wish I read your blog before hand.

Allison, it's amazing how quickly we lose the ability to survive anything colder than 10 above!

Matthew John, your comment left me with a hilarious image. Wish I had been there. I would like to say I would have helped but I probably would have been laughing to hard!! So sad about the perfect purples jeans though.

A few years ago, a guy robbed a bank not too far from my home. His escape plan was to get onto a commuter train about a block from the bank. He probably should have checked the schedule more closely. While he was walking to the train station, the dye-pack exploded. The police had little trouble identifying him as he stood there on the train platform waiting for a train.
