It was gorgeous here yesterday. Still cooler than normal but a beautiful day nonetheless. Went the Floating Boat Festival. Floating boats? What other kind of boats are there? It was not all that exciting. Turns out you have to pay ten dollars to enter the docks. I guess that's to keep the riff-raff such as myself away from all the pretty boats. Swiftsure and the Classic Boat Festival are way more fun. No charge to enter the docks and all the boat owners are friendly and more than willing to show off their boats to all the onlookers.
That sign reads $99,900 and up! So unless you've got $100,000 lying around you are not leaving with a boat!

When I downloaded my pictures from the day I noticed I took really random pictures. I'm not sure what I was thinking. I came home with a whole lot of weird pictures. This is the famous bear on Government Street. I call him famous because it seems everyone that comes for a visit has to take their picture with the bear. Mr. Bear is looking mighty tattered. His hat is torn, his uniform faded and in desperate need of a makeover.

Came across a yard with all sorts of painted shells, marbles, and pet rocks. It's a little bizarre looking and I imagine some of the neighbours cringe at the sight but it's rather fun to explore.
Butterscotch's first walk on grass, ever. As I wrote that I suddenly had an image of a collective groan and much eye rolling as I think of how we all react to having to watch baby's first steps and baby birthday videos. If I start carrying a picture of her in my wallet I will know I have crossed some weird cat person line.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Butterscotch sure seems to be enjoying her first grass steps (and what a great mom you are to have captured them) and only seems mildly hesitant to put that foot down.

That bear looks like it must have gained some weight - its shirt is way too tight.

And your boat photos remind me of how I miss seeing sailboats on the water. Bloody landlocked city.

I love Butterscotch!...what a beauty she is.

It's been weird weather lately...cold/sunny one day and pouring rain the next. Very unpredictable. Lindsay's birthday is tomorrow and we were TRYING to schedule an outdoor party for today. :(

I'm half heartedly watching the playoffs tc.

I'm a bit of a Red Wings fan now that my Canucks are out. I also liked Washington, but they're toast now too. It would be fun to see Montreal win...the place would go crazy.

Barbara, just think you'll get to see sailboats on the ocean this summer and hear Radiohead all on the same trip!

Deb, wish Linds a very happy birthday for me. Our weather has been the same.

even if there wasn't a collective groan / eye-rolling, at least I was

Kelly, well I know I can always count on you for certain things! All I know is she looks suspiciously like a certain kitty cat on a certain arm!
