My father requested this here post. Let's just say he is one proud grandpa!
I stole this picture from the Moose Jaw Times Herald. It's my nephew so I feel entitled. The skater in black is my 16 year old nephew, Dylan and he is playing for the Moose Jaw Warriors! Yay to that. This kid has had quite the summer. The talent agency that represents Sydney Crosby called wanting to represent him. They invited him to California for an all expense paid week to kind of show him the ropes and try and entice him to sign with them. He flew out there with another hockey player and I guess the two of them had a fantastic time. Duh? That's a given.
He of course is over the moon to be playing with the Warriors. He was actually chosen last year but underage players are only allowed to play so many games while at the same time closing the opportunity of playing with the American college system. Besides which my brother thought he was too young to live away from home.
He's living with close family friends and they are thrilled to have him. For over a year Glenda has been saying his room was ready and waiting for him. He still has a grandmother living in town and Moose Jaw is the hometown of both his parents and obviously my hometown as well. Having a nephew playing for the team that I grew up watching is rather surreal. I just hope he has a fantastic year not only in the hockey stats but in soaking up the entire experience. Dylan always been such a hard worker and an incredible kid. Obviously his grandpa is not the only one that is proud of him. Go Dylan! Go Warriors! Moose Jaw Rocks!
Sorry Allison but I think this post deserves a few exclamation points!!

Woo and hoo!
Yes, that does deserve exclamation points, well done Dylan! :)
Allison, ok that's weird I know I left you a comment. We're all rather excited about the whole thing I must admit. He's very young so he probably won't get much ice time but all the same it's so great to see him do something he has wanted to do since forever.
i think that is most exciting. and your dad is right to demand this post.
668 I can't wait to see him play. I told him I'm going to make a big sparkly sign to hold up.
He looks like he really knows what he's doing in that photo too! Your whole family must be so proud and excited. This is big!
Barbara, the day we found out I was in Kelowna visiting my parents which was awesome. I my brother called as soon as it was official.
