For the Zombie
Since I apparently have no ideas of my own today I am stealing ideas from everyone else. First, Allison now Barbara. Since I have only visited two blogs so far tonight I could be in for a long night of plagiarism.
This summer we had a new roof put on. Oh my gosh. I do not know where my landlord found these guys but they were a troop of loopy monkeys. This is an old house I realize but I certainly hadn't realized I would be in for 5 weeks of plaster falling on my head. No, I did not inadvertantly substitute weeks for days. It was 5 bloody long weeks. All we kept hearing from the neighbours was, "I have never seen a roof take so long before." Great, just my luck.
The boy that lives below packed up his cat and moved out. He was rather cute. He said the roofers were traumatizing his poor kitty. Tell me about it.
I would always make sure I stayed until they started just to try and calm my cat but then of course I would make my great escape. One Friday just after 8:00 they arrived and around 9:00 I decided to leave.
I walked outside my door and this is what I was met with.
Looked right, uh I don't think I'm getting down there.

Ok, maybe I'll take the back stairs instead. Uh, maybe not.

Aren't renovations fun!?

Did they remove your stairs to fix the roof? From what you have said, it sounds right in line with their thought processes.

I remember the roofers that the neighbours had a few years ago, who spent their time firing their nail guns at each other. I was picking nails out of my lawn for months.
