Quote of the Day:

I try to apply colors like words that shape poems, like notes that shape music.
Joan Miro

Song of the Day:

Prairie Wind by Neil Young (If you haven't checked out his Prairie Wine CD do. The entire CD is beautiful and it's so great to see him putting out this kind of work after all these years.)

"There's a place on the prairie where evil and goodness play"

The weather here has made a turn for the worse. I guess we can't complain since even last Saturday we were able to wander around without jackets, but complain I will.

I'm frustrated with work this week because it is taking over my life! As one that likes to think of work as a means to support my hobbies this is not good. I love my work but I need more time pursuing my creative avenues. The only time I hit the piano keys was when I cleaned and time spent doing art has been relagated to small works in my sketchbook. Balance, that's what I need! Now, I only have to figure out how I can achieve the kind of balance that will allow me to do everything I want to do. I guess that's pretty much everyone's problem.

So glad to see your blog!!!

Balance...that's a rough one for me too. With work, the kids and my parents - that leaves about 7 seconds/month for me. Not long enough for my bike rides. I very much relate to your thoughts on this one. Good luck.

I don't know how parents can juggle everything. I have enough trouble just trying to organize myself!
