Digital Camera

I have a new toy! I realize that digital cameras are not exactly new but they are for me. All these gadgets are great but I find they really tax my patience. Hopefully this coming weekend I can get out there and find some cool shots of the city I live in.

"Chaos of Creation"

watercolour

This looks rather odd to me because it's only part of the painting. I couldn't fit the whole thing in but that's probably because it's one of the first four pictures I took with the camera.

I hope this looks ok. I'm finding even with the anonymity of the internet I'm nervous. I guess that's one reason I will never paint for a living.

I just ordered myself a digital camera this week too. I can't wait until I get it.
After all these years, I never knew you were an artist. But, what kind of friend am I if I've never been to your house ... well, inside that is... and I only lived like three blocks away at one point in time. Oh well.
I can't wait to see what pictures you take!

Hey, we are going to have to change that this Christmas. We'll have to plan for the 27 or 28. If memory serves me right that's when we're here at the same time.
I just got the camera yesterday. Hope yours arrives soon.

That's a great picture! I love how it looks almost translucent in places.

Have fun with your camera!

That is a really cool picture, reminds me of my solar system screen saver.

The digital camera can be addictive, but its also one of my greatest treaures! Have fun and look forward to the pictures.

Oh, did you catch The Hour tonight? In the closer, Strombo mentioned Serena Ryder. I thought of you. I'm going to have to search out more of her stuff, now with two recommendations.

Hello 668. I think the digital camera will be pretty fun. It's just a matter of getting used to it over the old point and shoot one that I had. I love how it has an erase button!

Thanks for stopping by Barbara, and thank-you for the nice comment.

Strombo mentioned Serena Ryder! I just finished teaching so I'll watch at 11:00, Allison. The digital camera is addictive! Oh no, just what I need one more addiction.

Digital cameras are so fun, you can take a million pictures and only keep one... so you can take pictures of silly things without feeling bad for doing it. Once you'll get use to all the functions of it, you'll love it!

Hello Evelyne, thanks for stopping by. I'm looking forward to the weekend when I'll have lots of time to figure it out. I'll try and find some cool shots of Victoria to post.

Cool picture! Makes me think of the universe and an egg being fertilized at the same time- grand scale to microscale. Interesting. And both fit with the title.

Hi John. Thanks for the observations on the painting. I'm into math in a serious way and a lot of my paintings reflect something mathematical in nature at least to me.

Oooh I can't wait to get a good digital camera! Im looking forward to seeing lots of picture posties from you ;)

Toccata said...

Oh Mellowlee the pressure is on for me to actually read the manual and learn how to use this thing!

I would just have fun with it! To me, the beauty of a digital camera, is you can simply delete the photos you don't want and just continue to snap away!!! Im actually excited for you :) OOOOOOOOOH, could you take it with you on a walk along the beach? :)

Wow I love that painting - the colours are wonderful. I find gadgets pretty taxing too - I have quite a fancy digital camera I got passed on to me by my man when he upgraded. It has a million buttons and functions and all I do is turn it on, press the capture button, then turn it off again!!

Hello Barbara. Yes, I think I'm going to like this digital camera. That erase button is the best.

Thank you Kees. Your comment gave me a good chuckle because I can totally relate! I know there is so much more I can do with my ipod but I am just pretty happy that I can load it up with songs and listen. That's all I do.

i still haven't read my manual yet!

i love the delete button but i also love the fact that you can take a picture of anything and you dont have to worry about printing it. so now, i am starting to take pictures specifically for my blog.

Me too 668. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. Make sure to take pics of your dog.

Hey Kelly I just saw you over at my friend's site small town teacher. She is one of the funniest persons I know.

One of my students was going to the bodyworks exhibit today. He was pretty excited.

I kind of want to go and draw the things. That would be so cool! I love life drawing so I think I could really get into it.
