Rainy Day Blues

Go Saskatchewan Roughriders! Let's crush those arrogant Lions!

I have a bet placed on the game. If I lose I have to bake gingerbread cookies for a boy named Sam. I hope I'm not baking later tonight!

Currently listening to "28 Balloons" by Camaromance. You can find a link to it on Allison's site. I am now on my third straight listen. It contains kind of a chilling haunting quality to it.

On the topic of music I have been listening to Serena Ryder a lot lately. She's another one you might want to give a try. I'll try and figure out how to make a direct link to a song by her. For anyone who knows me that will probably be a good week away considering my high degree of computer skills!

I have this site linked but I'll also put it here for today: http://beta.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=36817344

It might be a fun site to play around with on a grey day like today for all you non football fans.

Sean (my partner) picked them to Tie. MMM Gingerbread. I would kind of be hoping to lose as I love the smell of gingerbread baking YUM!

Isn't that song from Allison's site AMAZING? I am loving it. I will have to check out Serena Ryder's music.

Thanks for linking me up. I will do the same as soon as I catch up on my blog readings :) Happy Sunday!!!

Oh, Kelly, crap is right. Yikes!
Next year. It's always next year.

That song Allison posted is amazing. I'm going to have another listen as soon as I finish this comment Mellowlee.

Well, Barbara at least your team is in.

When I got home I pressed play on my messages only to find a play by play of the loss! Looks like he didn't forget about the gingerbread bet!

Thanks 668 I rather like that picture too. I like clicking on my site and seeing a picture of the two of us. My brother died of cancer when he was 8. On a lighter note the white knee highs and white shoes I'm wearing is all to do with the fact that I wanted go-go boots but my mom just could not understand the need for go-go boots even though I told her everybody had them! So for awhile I would only wear white knee highs with my white shoes because I thought they looked like go-go boots! I never did get those go-go boots that's why I think your rainboots are so cool.

I know nothing about football, but I hope your team wins!!

I'm so glad you like the song, I've had it on repeat all week. I also took a listen to the Ryder's myspace, I like her sound too, she has a very powerful voice, and its very distinct, thanks for the suggestion :)

Hi Allison, that song you posted today has been a hit all around. I'm glad you tried Serena Ryder. I kind of like that raw edgy sound some singers have.

My team was absolutely mauled! Oh well, life goes on.

So sorry about the Riders. Grey Cup will be pretty blase now.

It was a pretty sad football party Barbara. The potluck was good though! But, we Roughie fans are a hardy lot, some think crazy lot, and we'll be back next year.

Well my dear, we crushed ya'. And I must confess, I was there and loved every single bone crunching minute of it. I'm gonna' have to convert you - the Lions are so awesome. They're actually pretty humble - I met Geroy and Dave last year and they're so down to earth and nice. I'll work on you.

Oh Deb. You did indeed crush us. All the headlines have been brutal. I'm glad you had fun. I will never be a total convert but I will definitely cheer for them next weekend.
