Not packed yet as I try to do the packing when the cat is outside. Why I don't know for he's already in a funk. How is that animals know you are about to abandon them? Although in this case he has live in house sitters so he's not all that abandoned! Try explaining the difference to him.

Here's a little something I saw in today's paper.

Sloshed Santas Share Christmas Spirits

The paper said a slew of slurring Santas got a little too merry at the metrotown mall in Burnaby last weekend. The santas were drinking a mixed alcohol concoction that they stored in a gasoline can! Over 100 Santa Clauses were roaming the mall for about 40 minutes creating quite the scene. Needless to say they were drunk, obnoxious and singing away; and they weren't singing kid friendly Christmas carols!

Over 100 Santas? That in itself would have been a sight to see. My question is, where did they come from? Was there some Santa convention in town?

OMG that santa story is hilarious!

Hey, wait a minute!! Where are you going?

Mellowlee, I'm just headed to Kelowna where my parents live. Not far and not for long. They live right across the street from the Provincial Park which has miles and miles of hiking trails and I love it in there! It's nice to spend time in a forest.

Mellowlee, p.s. How's the finger and the butt and the jeans and the ego doing after yesterday's splat in the mudd? Hope all is ok.

Finger is healing, butt hurts, and my neck is sore again. My pride has recovered thankfully hehe. I didnt have time to wash the jeans, so I hung them up in the bathroom to dry so I can brush the dried mud off before tossing them in the wash.

Oh, it sounds like you will have a great time there! I do miss living in the East Kootenays, where we could go out and enjoy nature quite easily. So relaxing :)

Cats HATE it when they see the suitcase come out, don't they? How nice that you're heading to your parents' for Christmas; now I wish we were going to my family's for Christms.

I saw that drunk and disorderly Santa article in the paper, but they didn't have a picture - priceless.

Mellowlee, I'm glad you are on the mend but I wish your neck was doing better. At least the all important pride is intact!

Barbara, cats have a sixth sense about these things. I was petting him earlier and he would let me pet him but no way was he going to look at me. He is currently giving me the cold shoulder. I keep thinking about your planned day in pyjamas watching South Park. Now that sounds like my kind of day. Hope you have lots of Christmas baking on hand!

Oh Kelly, I hope it's not a bad one. The wind and the rain has just started here. Of course now I'm thinking I really need to find that damn yellow flashlight!! Lend me one?

haven't had a chance to read anything yet, but enjoy kelowna and happy xmas!

Animals sure do have a sixth sense. My dog refuses to even look at us when she sees the bags. Diva indeed. Although I'd pout too if my family was leaving me ;)

Kelly, that doesn't seem very Christmassy!

668 aka neighbour of the beast, hope all Christmas shoppers you have to deal with are filled with Christmas spirit and not Christmas grinchiness!

Allison, welcome back! Well, I have survived the first family board game and outside of a couple of minor temper tantrums it went pretty smooth. i.e. nothing was thrown during said game

This post caught my attention because of the pic and then because it was under the categories of cats/drunk Santa and I thought WTF? Funny. Yeah, I don't know where they came from but I am guessing there was a bar involved at some point. Maybe, they were staging a strike of some sort: pissed off and pissed up Santas for better pay raises or POPUSFBPR...Which is what they would sound like when they talked so it would fit:)

Slaygirl, I think seeing a hundred drunk santas would have been quite the sight. I wish they had come to my mall!
