What's Up Mr. Blogger?
I can get into my own blog without any problems but I can't seem to access anybody else's blog this evening. Did any of you watch the Liberal Convention? I taught most of the day but I managed to see the second vote and then when I returned they had a new leader. Was quite the roller coaster ride of a convention.
Well, I certainly hope no one sees this before I'm able to edit it! At the moment I have massive amounts of dead space! I am now attempting to rectify that. Agh! %^%$@*
I took these pictures of one of the zaniest houses around. It really stands out in part because it's on the corner and surrounded by beige houses. You can see the house from a long ways away!
I'm a day late, what with Mr. Blogger being cranky and all, but here is my random ten:
1. I Saw You in the Wild: Great Lake Swimmers
2. Night in the City: Joni Mitchell
3. On the Run: Sam Roberts
4. Great Houses of New York: Hem
5. The Old Main Drag: The Pogues (Hey cool! They are brand new to my system!)
6. The Vanishing: Stars
7. Flying High Again: Sloan
8. Help Me: Joni Mitchell
9. Mysterious Ways: U2
10. Similar Features: Melissa Etheridge
Since I own every CD Hem has ever put out it would be surprising if I ever had a list that did not contain at least one Hem song. I wish I knew how to embed a link in a blog but for now this will have to do. Check them out sometime.

Oh man, I LOVE that house! I love the colours, but even more I love the ephalants on the top, and the hearts above the windows! EEeeeaYAAAAyyyy!
I have listened to one Hem song before, and really liked it!
668 I don't think anyone thought Stephen Dion would win at the start of the convention! It's going to be fun to watch how the party unfolds after this. I just hope they can get their act together. That house is crazy. I call it the hippie house.
Mellowlee, it's places like that crazy house that makes me love Victoria so much. This is one eclectic city.
That house looks like a box of Crayola crayons, pastels. Someone's very creative!!
I've never heard "Hem" before, will go check them out.
I missed the entire thing today....will catch the "highlights" later, on the news.
(Hey, I love the "extra's" on your blog...good job!! I love it when people have music that I've never heard of...thanks!)
You are right Deb that house does look like a box of crayola crayons.
I remember if was one of your lists that I looked at and was thinking, "These young kids, I just don't know their music." Then I realized we were exactly the same age! I had one of those ever frequent I am so out of it moments!
p.s. to Deb It took me awhile to figure out how to actually post images so now that I know I've gotten a little image happy! Just wait until I figure out how to actually embed a link into my blog!
hey, do you mean a link in your post? so that the reader can just click on it?
That's exactly what I mean!

Thanks 668, I'm going to give it a try.
It worked it worked! Thank you 668! aka neighbour of the beast!
I love that house, our neighbours (about 5 years ago) had a car looking like this house!
Evelyne, I would love to see a car looking like that! The poet Susan Musgrave has her car all decked out in little plastic toy figures. It's crazy but then I think she's a bit crazy.
Blogger was being a real crank this whole weekend. It took me three days to get my Friday post up with the pictures.
I use to walk by that house everyday on my way to work in the summer of 2005. My mom lived a minute's walk from there. I preferred that street the most because it was the quietest street in the downtwon core.
Small town teacher, blogger was a cranky old witch this weekend. It also seems to be running really slow and I'm finding I can't always link into other blogs.
completely agree about the blogger comments. Nasty for the last little bit. That house is funky. If I had lots of money I would buy it, or the car for mellowlee cause I like her so much:)
Slaygirl, can you imagine the parties in that house? How could they not be good? That house just screams fun. You and Mellowlee are very lucky to have such a close friendship. Definitely something to be treasured.
omfg what a lovely crazyhouse....where is my paint....
