An Uneasy Truce
Every apartment dweller in this place owns a cat. The young couple downstairs have two. The two ginger cats below. The fight for the back stoop is a never ending situation around here highlighted by occasional riproaring cat fights. These fights invariably occur in the middle of the night. I have decided the three of them have had a conference on this and have decided half the fun is waking up the entire house and award bonus points to any cat that can wake up the guests at the bed and breakfast next door.
They have now added a new component to the whole "King of the Stoop" game which is marking their territory. All three of them seem to be trying to out spray the other in leaving their scent on our doors! Grrr!

Boy cats are such boys!

Although my girl cat pretends that she can spray. She's a little confused.

Allison, oi they can be a handful all right!

Barbara, lol on the confusion of Sputnik! Males cats are terrible fixed or not. My cat oddly enough reminds me of a junior high boy, you know the type, absolutely in love with their ability to fart and burp preferrably on command! I teach a couple of them and they are hilarious.

oh cats, they are just so awesome and amusing. i reaally find they provide endless hours of entertainment - more than television. i've got a little ten year lady cat myself, though she's just an indoors dweller and hasn't lived with other cats for a few years, so she gets competitive of territory with vacuums and laptops.

I grew up a dog person. Cats are somewhat new to me as a pet (thanks to Amy - all the pets are hers).

They grow on you. And, I guess I understand where the term cat fight came from. Ha. We have some noisy ones ever now and then. Bob (the cat) and Rama don't take any crap.

Nice pictures.

Deb, I think they were trying to decide which way they wanted to go. My being there kind of quelled the urge to get into it.

Busterp, I can always tell when my cat has won a fight or not. If he has lost he flies up the stairs and straight into his cat cupboard. If he has won he struts up the stairs with his special butt wiggle that only comes out when he's won a fight. Glad to hear the cats have grown on you!

Oh what a bunch of bratty cats eh?! The building manager just gave me hell the other day because Loki has been going over to her door and spraying. She has two cats who are NOT impressed!

668, he was certainly keeping his eye on that one cat alright.

Mellowlee, oh Loki of all the doors to spray he would have to pick the landlord's door!
