To all my American friends out there, happy turkey day. Hope it was a good one. Eat an extra helping of stuffing for me! Love that stuffing!
A day early but doing the random shuffle is a whole lot easier than actually trying to think of something to write about!
Friday's Random Shuffle (Mr. itunes had better be a lot nicer to me this week!)
1. Breakin' the Law: The New Pornographers
2. Crowd Surf off a Cliff: Emily Haines
3. Honky Tonk Hiccups: Neko Case
4. Astral Weeks: Van Morrison
5. Crazy Arms: Hem
6. Decree: Anni DeFranco
7. Lessons From What's Poor: Bonnie Prince Billy
8. Mary: Sarah Slean
9. The Blue Notebooks: Max Richter
10. Everytime: Sarah Harmer
I love the fact that Max Richter found his way onto the list.
Anyone for a game of Kerplunk? I used to love this game as a kid. It wasn't a hideous colour of purple though! What's with the purple? I don't think I like the change.

That's a fine list. How is the Emily Haines record? I've yet to take a listen.
I don't think I ever played kerplunk as a child. But I just wrote a top 5 list of childhood board games, how funny is that. I'll be posting later this weekend.
I quite like the Emily Haines record Allison, but found it took a few listens to fully appreciate it.
Ever since Barbara B did the posting of lego I have been thinking about childhood games. Think maybe I'll do a list on that.
I don't think I've ever played Kerplunk either, but I think I've played similar games. Christmas always gets me thinking about games (it's that nostalgia thing). I always buy the family a new boardgame each Christmas.
That's a splendid list this week by the way.
Barbara, my mom confiscated the monopoly board after a rather rowdy game last Christmas. I don't think we're going to be seeing any new board games under the Christmas tree this season!
haha... i love that monopoly story. when i was a kid, my friend and i banned ourselves from playing risk, after we started throwing pieces at each other.
love the bonnie prince billy... i have the emily haines on request from the library, i'm looking forward to listening to it.
Aka I find it amusing how simple board games just bring out the competitor in all of us. When my family plays cards we have the "one only" rule. Each person is allowed one and only one temper tantrum per night of playing cards otherwise you're kicked out of the game!
I hadn't seen Kurplunk in years and now this is the second time I've had a run-in with it. This summer, my buddy had it in his dorm room and he said we should play it ... we never did :(
Oh Small Town Teacher someone had Kerplunk in their dorm room! I would have loved that.
