Lazy Day Sunday

Wow, the first time something like this has ever worked for me and it has to be a stupid tarot card. A bit of a fun test to waste a bit of time but something I absolutely do not believe in! A little ironic wouldn't you say? Well, I guess it gets me out of having to do an actual post today.

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised.

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

I demand a retest because I saw someone with a sun card and their card said this: "You have an understanding and enjoyment of science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind, and feelings of youthful energy." Now, there's a couple of lines I would not have minded seeing on my card.

Oh, and here's a picture to show you what I meant by getting the orange glow thing going on. I've have far worse but this I took yesterday. First attempt and getting rid of the weird glow not terribly successful.

If the rain ever decides to stop I will try my hand at applying the ideas that you guys gave me on my previous post.

Well OF COURSE you are a Star! I could have told you that!

I, apparently, am The Empress

"Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents, beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business."
... And then there's a whole bunch of stuff about keeping the earth barren until my child is returned to me or some such thing.

Sorry I can't help you with the photo issues, as I am the world's crappiest photographer. Bar none.

ok...a couple problems with the picture

it looks like the flash wasn't used and thats fine except the light source in the restaurant is a different colour temperature than what flash gives off

with no flash and slower shutter speeds, tripod is required or lean against wall and brace your elbows against your sides

you can likely adjust the orange glow to a whiter or morepleasing colour in your software

would using the flash be disruptive to other people?

those are my initial thoughts

now..go to my glob and get your cake recipie

wow barb..instant simultaneous posts

Barbara, a creator. That's a pretty cool thing to be.

Kelly, all right! I am going to head over there right now and I think this is the perfect day to bake a cake!

You are The Hierophant

Divine Wisdom. Manifestation. Explanation. Teaching.

All things relating to education, patience, help from superiors. The Hierophant is often considered to be a Guardian Angel.

The Hierophant's purpose is to bring the spiritual down to Earth. Where the High Priestess between her two pillars deals with realms beyond this Earth, the Hierophant (or High Priest) deals with worldly problems. He is well suited to do this because he strives to create harmony and peace in the midst of a crisis. The Hierophant's only problem is that he can be stubborn and hidebound. At his best, he is wise and soothing, at his worst, he is an unbending traditionalist.

Kelly, a fireman being labeled a guardian angel makes a bit of sense. Creating harmony and peace in the midst of a crisis. That's a pretty sweet line. You also strike me as very easy going. Do you not have rain? It's raining buckets here and as a result I am stir crazy. Not that I don't have a million things I could and should be doing but the rain is making me very unsettled and unproductive!

Kelly, was the simultaneous posting as good for you as it was for me?

Toccata said...

Barbara, haha. Too bad I missed out! A threesome could have been fun.

DoGGa is The Sun
Happiness, Content, Joy.

The meanings for the Sun are fairly simple and consistent.

Young, healthy, new, fresh. The brain is working, things that were muddled come clear, everything falls into place, and everything seems to go your way.

The Sun is ruled by the Sun, of course. This is the light that comes after the long dark night, Apollo to the Moon's Diana. A positive card, it promises you your day in the sun. Glory, gain, triumph, pleasure, truth, success. As the moon symbolized inspiration from the unconscious, from dreams, this card symbolizes discoveries made fully consciousness and wide awake. You have an understanding and enjoyment of science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind, and feelings of youthful energy.

Dogga, you lucky dog you. I wanted to be the sun!

Oooh, I will have to take that quiz in a bit here. Im still all achy from being out in the rain all day! Time for a hot shower. I am going to sit down and read my camera manual tonight...well at least that's my INTENTION lol! If I come across the keywords "orange" or "glow" I will be sure to contact you immediately with my findings ;O)

Toccata said...

Mellowlee, that is probably what I am going to have to do at sometime too. I hate manuals. My camera needs to come with a Toccatagoofproof button!

You are The Emperor
Stability, power, protection, realization; a great person

Yeah. I'm great. Ha.

Toccata said...

Busterp, well that was certainly the condensed version! What did it say that you're not telling us. :) But, I will definitely second the part about you being a great person.

i am the devil!

Toccata said...

668 haha! That's good! Well, if I'm a star I guess we won't be visiting in the afterlife unless of course I end up swirling into a black hole! Which upon thinking about it is rather likely.

we had no rain today and the sun even came out a few times, mostly cloudy though

You are The Wheel of Fortune
Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of intoxication with success

The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.

thanks M, that was fun :)

It tells me I am the "Lovers" card. I disagree.

Hahaha to Barb's comment about keeping the earth barren until my child is returned to me.

mellowlee said...

I got The Empress one too. These quizzes are fun. I loved 668's results!

Gledwood said...

I am The Sun, so I'm told!!

Toccata said...

Kelly, well glad someone on the West Coast managed a day without rain yesterday. I was squirrely all day long but luckily today no rain so I spent most of it outdoors.

Boo, you don't strike me as someone that will allow success to go to your head so I would say the Wheel of Fortune should only bring you good things!

Allison, the Lover's Card! Maybe 668 will trade you. :)

Mellowlee, the Empress same as Barbara. Good at home decorating and art that fits! 668 got the best card by far!

Gledwood, oh the sun card. That's awesome. That's the one I want! "You have an understanding and enjoyment of science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind." You have to admit those are pretty nice things to embody.

668 aka neighbour of the beast said...

i am pretty proud of myself. :)

so why do none of the cards say bad things?

like...you are evil, rotten, you take other kids lunch money etc

oh and I'm sure you made the cake...haaa haaa

next I'll tell you about my home made cinnamon buns...the ones that i use my own croissant dough for

Toccata said...

668m the general consensus is that you definitely turned up the coolest card.

Kelly, that cake oh my gosh. Someday. And believe me when I do I am taking pictures but I figure it will be a once in a lifetime project. I'm going to give it to my culinary arts student though. I have passed on all your recipes to him. So far he's tried them all now we'll see what he thinks of the all day to make a cake recipe.

Kelly I figure the ones that turned up those cards are far too busy sneaking up behind their next victim to post their card of bully master.

Deb said...

I'm also The Empress, like Barb!

I know nothing about the camera issue. I don't even know how to use my camera settings - all I can do is point and shoot.

Sorry, no help at all from me in this department.

Toccata said...

Deb, your pictures do not look as though you just point and shoot! Someday all of us digital camera users are going to have to sit down and actually read the stupid manual. Mellowlee was just saying that very thing a couple of days ago. That would be too easy!

Evelyne said...

It seems that I'm The World, I posted the card on my blog. 668's card is pretty cool!

Toccata said...

Evelyne, the world! Now that'a heady card. Must have to do with that environmental streak in you. We're hoping you and your generation will be able to save our world.
